DANI Dyer has suggested she felt like a “side dish of halloumi at Nando’s and not the chicken” when she was with womanising Sammy Kimmence – who she has now reunited with.
The Love Island winner, 22, was with him before she went onto the show last year and hints he was a “liar” and “seeing loads of other girls” behind her back.
It comes as she was pictured reuniting with him over the Easter weekend following her break-up from Jack Fincham.
In her book What Would Dani Do?, released earlier this month, she said: “[I] started seeing someone I really fancied who charmed the pants off everyone he met. But that was the problem! He was a liar and was seeing loads of other girls behind my back.
“He didn’t even make me his official girlfriend, which meant I didn’t feel I had much of a leg to stand on when it came to demanding where he was, so I ended up letting him walk all over me.
“He wasn’t controlling or malicious (and I’d still say hi to him now if I saw him in the street because despite everything I did like him), but he was a major player. And a major headf***!
“He would whisk me off for lovely meals and take me on amazing dates and then not contact me again for a few days and go AWOL.
“It was like I was always the side dish in Nando’s. I was just the fried halloumi when all I wanted to be was the full chicken.”
She asked her EastEnders actor dad Danny about the situation and he insisted she didn’t stay with him as he didn’t approve of Sammy.
Dani said: “I asked dad for advice on what to do because he knew what made me tick – and he told me, ‘He’s not for you, babe. He’s keeping you like his little secret, which means he doesn’t have to go public and can do what he wants’.
“So once again I was in tears every night asking my friends why it always happened to meeeeeee…?
“There’s one positive about dating loads of wrong ‘uns though. I’ve learnt the hard way how to spot the danger signs so I know what not to put up with!”
Dani was pictured kissing Sammy whilst out boozing with pals in London.

He was also seen with a bag of suspicious powder just weeks after Jack admitted to a cocaine binge.
An onlooker said: “Dani and Sammy were drinking and having a great time, and made no secret of being back together.
“Dani couldn’t keep her hands off him and the feeling was clearly totally mutual – they kissed for ages before heading off as a group, but he seemed to be keen to pass something to one of his male friends before they went.”
