DANNY Dyer has revealed that his wife Jo accidentally proposed to him.
The childhood sweethearts, who have been together since 1992, tied the knot in 2016.
But prior to that, Jo, 47, said no to Danny, 46, a whopping four times when he got down on one knee.
The couple, who share three kids together, eventually got engaged in 2015 and tied the knot the following year.
However Danny and Jo have revealed that they “got married by accident” after Danny thought that Jo had proposed to him.
Speaking on James and Clair Buckley’s In Sickness and in Health podcast, Jo said: “It was Valentine’s Day and you were at home.
“I went to Millie’s Cookies, bought the last muffin, which said ‘Will You Marry Me’, but I didn’t mean it.
“It was just the last one there. So I thought ‘I’m going to have that tonight’.
“Forgot to eat the muffin, left it downstairs, went to bed…
“He’s come up three in the morning, ‘Yes, yes, yes’. And I thought ‘What?’ I was so embarrassed.”
A shocked Danny then asked: “Are you telling me you weren’t going to propose to me?”
Jo replied: “No, I wasn’t going to propose.”
Danny joked: “We got married by accident. What a romantic story.”
The pair have been together for over 20 years after first meeting at school aged just 14.
After their special day, Danny told Hello! magazine: “To be standing here with the girl I grew up with – looking so beautiful in her wedding dress – that is a lovely thing.
“Jo is my best girl – the love of my life. Without her, I would be nothing.”
Joanne said: “I have dreamed about this day my whole life and I just wanted it to be perfect.”
Last year Danny joked that he’s ‘still paying off’ their £120k wedding SIX years later.
Speaking on The Dyers podcast with daughter Dani, she said: “You had mini pie and mash on sticks at your wedding, didn’t you?”
“Yes, and we had ‘loved up to f***’ on the plated in chocolate,” the Mick Carter star added.
“It was £120 a head, I’m still paying for it.”
The couple share three children together.
Their eldest, Dani, 27, appeared on Love Island.
They are also parents to Sunnie and Arty.
